Giving an interview can often be a daunting task , especially when you don’t know what to expect or how to prepare. Many companies keep their interview process under wraps, hoping to test your spontaneity and presence of mind. While that approach has its merits, at Expericia, we believe you perform best when you’re calm and confident, and that starts with knowing what to expect.

So, we sat down with one of our new joiners, Nikhil, to hear about his interview experience and insights for future applicants.

Q: How did you first hear about Expericia?

A: Through LinkedIn.

Q: Can you walk us through the stages of your interview process?

A: I received a call from SK, who mentioned he had seen my resume on LinkedIn. He asked me for a short self-introduction over the phone, and then invited me to the Expericia office for an in-person interview.

To be honest, I was a bit demotivated at first. I didn’t have high hopes and felt underprepared. But eventually, I decided to show up and give it my best.

The interview had two rounds:

1. Technical + Coding Round
I started with a self-introduction.
The interviewer reviewed my GitHub profile.
Then, I was given some logical reasoning questions and 4–5 coding challenges — all of which I managed to solve successfully.

2. HR Round
This was more of a casual conversation, focused on my background, interests, and expectations.

Q: What was the difficulty level of the coding questions?

A: Honestly, I was expecting the coding questions to be very tough, but to my surprise, they were fairly easy. They were designed to check whether your fundamentals are strong, not to trip you up.

Q: What was the most challenging part of the interview? How did you prepare?

A: The biggest challenge for me was managing my anxiety and lack of preparation. I went in tense and unsure because I hadn’t prepared at all. But at some point, I told myself, “Whatever comes, I’ll face it.”

That mindset really helped me stay calm and focused. I relied on my past experience and problem-solving instincts.

Q: How did the interviewers help make you feel comfortable?

A: I was actually surprised by how comfortable and relaxed the whole experience was. I’d never attended an interview like this before, and I felt a lot of anxiety at first. But that quickly faded.

SK was incredibly chill and friendly — even funny at times. We ended up talking a lot, and the conversation felt more like a casual chat than a formal interview. His relaxed attitude helped me calm down and be myself, which made a big difference.

Q: Was there a moment during the process when you thought, “I want to work here”?

A: Yes — even though my background is more focused on MERN stack development, during the interview I learned that the team at Expericia works extensively with technologies like SharePoint and Salesforce.

To be honest, it was the first time I had even heard of these platforms. But instead of feeling discouraged, I felt curious and motivated. That moment made me realize this could be a great opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and learn something new. It convinced me that working here would help me grow in ways I hadn’t expected.

Q: What’s one thing you’ve loved about your internship so far?

A: I really appreciate that we can ask any question — big or small — without hesitation. The team is super open and supportive, which makes it easy to learn and clarify doubts. That kind of environment really helps you grow.

Q: What’s something unique about the company culture that surprised you?

A: Honestly, I was surprised by how chill and accepting the culture is. No one judges you for what language you speak, what clothes you wear, or what food you eat. People just accept you as you are. That made me feel comfortable from day one. It’s a place where you can just be yourself, and that’s something I didn’t expect — but I really appreciate.

Q: Any advice for future interns applying to Expericia?

A: I’d say go for it! You’ll find a great environment here to learn and grow — not just professionally, but personally too. The team is supportive, and there are lots of opportunities to develop new skills. Just be open, stay curious, and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

Q: If you could describe your internship in one emoji, what would it be?
A: 🤗

We hope this gave you a head start on preparing for your interview. We’re excited to meet passionate individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and thrive. See you at Expericia!
