Expericia Technologies was born out of the entrepreneurial drive of our CEO. The company officially started on March 1st, operating out of a co-working space that belonged to another company one where our CEO was also a co-founder.
In the beginning, it was just our CEO building something from scratch with belief, ambition.
But what started as a dream quickly began to grow. Within 4 months, we had a 10-member team, and the shared space began to feel too tight. It was clear we needed a space of our own.So we began looking.
We visited multiple locations. Some were over budget, others lacked space or character. At one point, the search became so frustrating we were tempted to just pick something anything and move. We even considered Infopark Kochi for the branding value, but the space and budget never aligned.
Eventually, we found a space in Maradu. It was fully furnished, had enough room, and seemed like a good fit. But of course, this was just the beginning.
The space needed a lot of work. The chairs weren’t right, the lighting was off, the cleaning wasn’t done properly, and the blinds were in bad shape. And to add to the pressure, the Malayalam month of Karkidakam considered inauspicious for new beginnings was just around the corner.
We had only 15 days to get the space ready. It felt like a race against the clock. We managed to do a simple pooja before Karkidakam began nothing fancy, just our team and a few close ones and then we got to work.
There were vendors to coordinate, purchases to make, and a lot of decisions on the fly. When electricians weren’t available, the team simply rolled up their sleeves, tightening loose sockets, fixing a sticky door, and tackling the small, safe fixes that kept momentum going. No fuss, no announcements; just quiet ownership to keep things moving until the pros arrived.
Just as everything was coming together, I had to take a few days off for personal reasons.
That’s when something truly beautiful happened.
One of our team members stepped up and handled everything with such calmness and clarity. Showing up on weekends, working late nights ensuring that every detail was handled right. Even when a water pipe burst at midnight and flooded the space, the team calmly handled the crisis, cleaned everything up, and got things back on track.
No one was asked to work on weekends but people came in anyway. Everyone pitched in, driven by a shared sense of purpose. It reminded us of a simple truth about young companies: the first ten people often feel like founders. They take ownership, do what’s needed without being told, and they’re self-driven in the best, most understated way. The space came together through collective effort not because anyone had to, but because everyone wanted to.
And on Monday, August 4th, we moved in.
It wasn’t just a new office it was a reflection of who we are. Built with care, patience, hustle, and heart. A space we can truly call our own.
